Angry Fire Help

Is there any way I can trick the motherboard into reading from DImm 3 instead of dimm 2. I think i might have ruined Dimm 2. I installed the memory correctly and then I saw sparks--i immediately pulled the power. It looks like i Fried the memory--but how can you tell forsure--plus it looks as though i fryed the dimm too. HOW CAN I TELL FOR SURE--PLEASE ADVISE---WHAT CAN I DO!!!!!!

If you saw sparks, I wouldn't try plugging anything into DIMM2 without going over the connector with a magnifying glass to make sure the slot is OK. Take a close look at your RAM for any burn marks, the chip is most likely bad.

I would send the mobo back for replacement. And the mem. As it will only fit one way, thus limiting your ability to install incorrectly, it/they very well could be bad from the start. Hard to tell wich is/was bad. I would not trust it.
