Raid Hard drive Defrag
Hi,thanks to all you good people on this form, I have been able to build my own PC with very little input. The information is all on these threads. I have not seen this question. When you have 2 hard drives setup with raid 0 striped, is it safe to use Windows disk defragmenter? I have just reconfigured and added a second Seagate 40 G hard drive. My understanding from what I have read is that both hard drives are writing at the same time. Won't it mess something up by moving the files around between the two drives? Thank you for all your help.

You should still be able to defrag, but this is why backups are critical with RAID 0 for such situations where something goes wrong.
