Back Key Bug

Here is something that has always bugged me that maybe someone can explain. Often times when I am on the net writing in a forum and use the back key to erase a word or letter, instead of erasing the text, the back key brings me back to the previous Web page. It has always done this randomly and it doesn't matter what operating system I have used. Has anyone else had this weird problem or know about it.

I think it depends on what window has the focus. If the cursor is in the text box that you are using to write, and you hit the backspace key, then it works as it should. If, however IE itself or whatever browser you are using has the focus, then the backspace key will bring you to the previous page.

no, i've experienced this too. and also, sometimes the tab doesn't work right. instead of skipping to the next field or link or something, it goes to the next open window (like as if i had pressed alt+tab or something). i'd be interested in finding out what causes it too.
