need help mounting front fan
I need help mounting a front intake fan. Heres my problem though. Because my case has front usb and audio there is no where on the bezel to mount a 80mm fan. The only place I could mount one would be on 2 of the 5 1/4 drive bays. I was thinking about maybe glueing 2 of them together and then cutting a hole for the 80mm fan and mount it there. I have 4 bays, the top one im gonna use for a baybus, and the bottem one im gonna use for my cdrw. I was gonna use the middle two for the fan. I was wondering if this would do any good for airflow.

Hi setfree,
You really don't need a front intake fan as long as you have at least 1 exhaust fan (besides the power supply fan) and a lot of ventilation holes in the front of the case. The exhaust fan will remove heated air from the case, creating a vacuum within the case. Cool air will be drawn in (because of the vacuum effect) through the front ventilation hole. Make sure the plastic front panel has a way for the air to enter the case. Cricket

I currently have 2 80mm intake fans on the side, and 1 80mm exhaust on top

just thought i'd drop in a link for something you may want to consider since you'll have a 5.25" bay available...
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tem=2016828414 i'm sure there are other products out there like this that may help solve your dilemna without having to glue the fans together... Good Luck *Sean* |

I was looking at those Enermax cases that have a fan mount for the top of the case and the side of the case front and back. Looked interesting.

That's why you put the 80mm exhaust fan top/back - so it assists the PSU in exhausting the hot air at the top of the case.
