hello,
i have a sound blaster live card with cambridge 4point surround. FPS2000Digital. the oroblem is that the speakers crackle alot. not usually when i am playing a game or music, just when they are idle. or at least that is when i notice it.
any ideas? thanks

hmmmm, there was in an older maximum pc mag, a guy that wrote in and had exactly the same problem as yours. I think they told him that it could actually be the electrical wiring in the house, two many devices causing interferences. Try plugging them in somewhere else once and see if they still make that noise. HTH

i think you are on to something. it does not do it all the time. it was really bad today, and it was raining out. i live in an old house. its not doing it right now so i will try the next time.
