Blank Screen!!!
hi everyone, hope you are all doing fine
When I start my pc, I get blank screen - no cursor no nothing just pure blank....(that happened when i removed my modem to put an ethernet card) I put back in the modem, it runs fine again. THen i put my ethernet card without removing the modem, blank screen Then I removed ethernet, blank screen again. Now, I can't get past the blank screen. Any idea?? It's probably some hardware problem -- any idea which faulty device may cause this??? |

is the ethernet card somehow bumping against your video card?... maybe it has jostled it (vid card) loose... they can be finicky sometimes...

Did you remove the profile for the modem in the Device manager before you pulled the card?
Also the card could be bad out of the box. Afterall when the thing starts it is just powering the card, it's the OS that makes it a working NIC. So it may be bad. And finally have you tried it in another PCI slot/ Could be an IRQ conflict with the Video card. |

actually i didn't remove it because the modem wasn't working anyway...
I am getting many weird results. I will try everything..... The ethernet card is fine. I had problems before plugging that in. Thanks... will be keep trying.... |
