If you're talking about data structures, that stands for for "First In First Out". A queue would be a good example of a FIFO data structure.

Cool

HEY...

Dont forget the AMR... Audio Modem Riser.. another piece of garbage added on to early millenuim mobos just to say " Hey ,, we have an AMR,m, and they dont"

Oh yeah.... VRM.....

Voltage Regulator Module..

Got this Dual Pentuim 3 slot 1 from Unisys... a freebee of course since its an artifact.... Not my main computer of course..... Well it came with 1 Processor... grabbed a second processor and realized that it didn't work!! Hmm well theres this connector for the VRM #2 , what the Hello is that ?? OK.. so after some research i found out that it regulates voltage for the processor.. HAH.. 75$$ for that,,, hmm so i scrapped it for its huge case fan and other little trinkets... like the scsi hardware.

Nice having a total of 5 hard disks in the pc now and that large fan in my mid-tower

WORP? Do you mean WOPR (War Operations Planned Response)? If so: WarGames.

That reminds me:

WYSIWYG = What You See Is What You Get

This is from the "olden" days. It applied to Word Processors when you had to type in the formating codes.... kinda like you do here. For example, for bold you type in (minus the spaces, so it will show):

[ b ]

and to close:

[ / b ]

It was a revelation! What you saw on the screen (supposedly, for a while) would be what was printed.

The same is true for Web editors lite FrontPage, where instead of writing the HTML yourself in notepad, you use one of these apps and it does the code based on what you do int the app.
