Memory overclocking: worth it?
I recently bought a kt333 chipset board (soyo dragon lite) and this has got me thinking about overclocking my memory. I've a 128mb stick of pc 2100 crucial and a 128mb stick of either pc1600 or pc2100 mushkin (it doesn't say the speed on the stick). I'm running windows 98se with an athlon xp 1800+.
would I notice any difference in the speed of my computer if I overclocked my memory? is there any reason not to overclock my memory? |

Whether you'll notice a major change is debatable,no harm in trying,if the speeds are mismatched, you may have problems, but you won't know 'til you try.
Set the speeds in bios to slowest settings and see if it flies,if it does change the settings for faster and check stability. |
