Question alt key functioning improperly

my teacher at school is having a problem with the alt key on her keyboard. when typing within a form, she normally hits tab to advance to the next entry. recently, however, when she hits the tab, it minimizes the window and takes her to another open task, or if nothing is open, back to her desktop. it sounds like alt+tab, but i have no idea how to fix this. is this fixable? thanx

First thing to do is try a different keyboard - the alt key could simply be stuck. Another possibility is that "sticky keys" are enabled in Accessibility Options.
