PCI Video Card Question

Dear Forum-

I'm in the process of upgrading an old system that I've been posting quite a lot about lately:

Pentium 166 w/MMX
Gemlight (Intel VX Chipset) Motherboard
2MB Trident 9680 Video

So my latest mission was to upgrade the video card to something worth having. I am partial to ATI's video components and therefore I have found one card I'm interested in.

I was thinking about installing ATI's Radeon 7200 32MB PCI video card in this system. This motherboard doesn't have an AGP slot.

Would I be wrong in thinking that I can run just about ANY PCI video card on this motherboard. I've updated everything I can, DirectX, etc., so I just assumed this would be a valid upgrade.

If anyone knows that this would not work, please let me know.

As long as the mobo has a PCI slot and the video card is PCI, I don't see why it wouldn't work. I haven't heard of any reasons why it wouldn't anyway.

I can't think of any problems off the top of my head,either, DukeDiablo.

You'd have more concerns if it were an AGP mobo, but it's not.
