I have a working Daytek 17" monitor with what looks like a game port sized connector on the end of the cable. Do I need a special vga adapter for this or is there another way to configure it to work? Any help appreciated.

I'm not sure what you mean is it a MAC connector? Check these out: http://www.cablexpress.com/cablexpre...s/monitor.html

What a dummy I am. If I had have looked a little harder I would have notice that the whole cable was backwards. I thought most monitors had the cable hard wired into it and this one has 2 different outputs on the back of it. (actually more) Whoever hooked it up had it on the wrong way. Thanks for the help.
