I am having a problem using Pinnacle Studio Deluxe V7. We have this program hooked up in a computer in our sound booth, and were trying to use it to capture and edit video but we've run into some problems with converting the video back into vhs format. When I first installed the software and hardware, I hooked up a camcorder and captured about 20 minutes of video. I then edited it and proceeded to convert to vhs. I had the vcr hooked to the breakout box, and I rendered the video in the format it needed to be to transfer to vhs. It worked great with no problems but I decided I wanted to change a couple things in the video. I went back into pinnacle, made my changes and rerendered the video. I transfered it back to vhs and attempted to play it back on the vcr but this time it didn't have any audio. I have tryed verious clips, but I can't get the audio to work when I convert to the vhs format (I believe its avi but not positive.). I can't figure out why it would render the audio once and then never work again when I didnt touch a single thing. I have narrowed the problem down to the format that pinnacle converts video to so it can transfer to vhs. I've noticed that once I render it in that format and try to play it back there is no audio, however I can render it as an mpeg just fine .(but it won't let you transfer mpeg to vhs.) Anybody have any idea why this is happening? BTW are systems specs are as follows.
Dell (not sure what model) 20gig hdd cd-rom 256mb ram Matrox g450 32mb dual head card some generic 8mb video card Windows xp two dell 15in monitors averkey 2 eiki projector vcr pinnacle studio 7 with capture card and breakout box we also have a sound board about a foot or so beside the computer, and we have the computer patched in. |
