I've read the "tweaks" for sometime where everyone suggests an MTU of 576, or small in Win98. I've verified the fragmentation using MaxMTU and it naturally suggests 576. This is, therefore, what I've used. For fun, I changed it to Large and now my throughput is smoother and faster (4.5-5.0) vs. the sub-4.0 using small. Not that it makes that much difference, but what the hey? Ideas?

The default (1500) seems to work best here - with a Rwin of 8192 (default) - but with broadband the Rwin needs to be 64k.

Same principle as V90/V34 Sarge. Large packets for downloads and surfing, small packets for faster pings in games.
