Quick Question.

Hi ppl

Just a quick Question for u guys.

Im building my 2nd PC and noticed that in the Build Your PC guides that there is a long procedure in sorting out the Hard Drive.

Boot with Floppy..then Fdisk then.....ETC ETC

When i built my system after the bios all i did was insert my XP Professional Disk...then that did all the Format Fat32/NTFS ETC...

Am i right or did i do it wrong??

Been using this PC for almost and year now and it seems ok....

That article needs updated a bit. The newer operating systems handles it for you, so you did good.

Yep, I did that to. When I reformatted a bit ago I followed some of those steps though. XP pro didn't partition or make any suggestions. It set me up with 1 big 40Gig partiton and FAT32. You know the old saying, "When you want something done right..."
