What OS are you running?

Have you installed the Creative SW already? You can select a 2, 4 or Surround speaker config from there.

Just run it as 5.1. It will work fine, with all 4 channels playing. You just won't have a center channel speaker to take advantage of the last signal from the sound card.

Hi mattmorgan,

It's been a while since I've run the Live! card..... Somewhere, like in the AudioHQ or the Mixer, is an option window to run a 2 or 4 speaker setup. Switch it from 2 to 4 and you should be up and running!

HTH

Hi mattmorgan,

Just a quick recap to make sure we're all on the same page.

1) You have swapped the two speaker jacks with each other, and still Only the front speakers work?

2) The rear speakers are connected to the bottom jack, and

3) The front speakers are connected to the next one up,

4) You have installed the latest W2K drivers from SoundBlasters site?

5) you have confirmed that it is setup in a 4 speaker configuration.

6) None of your surround mixer settings are muted

7) you've run the dianostic utility that came with the sound card
