Should I use this case and power supply?

Soyo SY-2359 w/300W maxpower power supply.

I picked this case up during Fry's Black Friday event. It will be free (+ tax I guess) after rebate. I keep thinking "you get what you pay for" and don't quite feel comfortable putting all my new components in there. Also I see it listed as AMD approved but not P4.

Anybody familiar with this case? Should I avoid using it altogether?

i looked at this case on their website and it sounds like they only have room for 1 cooling fan? if so, and your system is gonna be at least somewhat highpowered, then i'd want at least 2, imo.

Scott,

I was wondering the same thing. This case doesn't show up on outpost anymore but when it did I think it stated 2 fans optional. Also, there appears to be a space up front for the fan but from what I can tell the front cover isn't removable to attach it. I've only given the case a quick look over so I could be mistaken. I'll be checking it out completely this weekend. Also, it didn't come with any type of manual which their web site claimed came in the box.

i didnt get a manual w/ my case, and i didnt need one. i guess half of my fun was trying to figure out how to take the thing apart. if it has room for 2 fans, then it might be ok for a pentium built, but i wouldnt go amd.

Alright! I had a chance to play around in the case a little. The right side was a pain to slide back but once i got it off I could remove the front. There is definitely a spot for a front fan which is cool considering I just bought two from newegg. Also, there is a sticker on the power supply fan which states Intel Pentium 4 / AMD K7 Certify.

It looks like I'll give it a try. Still a little worried about the quality of the power supply. Has anyone used a MaxPower power supply before? Any good?
