Scanning a CD?
Will scanning the surface of a CD in any way harm the music or data upon the disk?

I don't see how it would. The laser that reads CD's is a lot more intense than a scanner bulb.

Thanks, GLC. I scanned the disks and made about 6 "near" Identical jewel case and CD labels for Christmas Music that my wife had borrowed from a friend! Didn't hurt the original CD's at all! I was rather worried on the first one, though!
