I took a pic of my case so you can see the inside. Any ideas on neatening up the cables at the top?

I use lots of zip ties and careful bundling of the wires that are being routed in the same direction. You could also use the grills of the power supply to tie back some of the wires to (as long as you don't block it off completely).

Here's my Antec SX830, the wire bundle at the top isn't real neat but the zip ties help keep it under control...sort of.

What are the specs for this system? Is that a Alpha heatsink on there? And is that case made of aluminum?

Well, your wire bundle is definetely neater than my wire bundle. Mine doesn't seem to be going anywhere tho, it's all shoved up there pretty well. I should prolly do something about it soon though. I'm getting jealous of all these people with extremely neat cabling.

The heatsink is an OCZ Goliath, with a 60mm delta fan. Aluminum Blue chieftec case. Enermax 350w psu.

Here's a picture of a build I just did. With the Antec-style cases(Chieftec, etc.), I like to route excess wires in the "channels" of the frame. You'll see what I mean if you look at the bar that runs across the case just below the PSU. Route excess wires in the "channel" in the back, then tuck the ends behind the 5.25" bays.

Hey, is that the thermaltake smartfanII on the cpu heatsink? I just ordered one with a 60mm to 80mm adapter. You like it?

here's a link to some pics of my case, cheapest i could find, without resorting to total junk:-)
put a front bay with for my 60gb hd with a
small intake cooler, and one fan underneath my power supply.
i'd like to make 2 temp meters in the front
to measure my hd temps (something like a digital thermometer)
i was thinking about buying those round see trough ide cables since mine are really messed up right now
(as you can prolly see in the pic.) are these
really bad? any opinions?
ps i always tought you werent supposed to
bend flat ide cables in length direction, since they would break sooner, or am i wrong here?

Oh man...a system running a VIA C3. The whole thing is neat, but performance must be sort of sluggish. At least it won't ever overheat.

How many years ago was a VIA C3 considered top of the line?

I re-routed all my cables today, they were all a bit of a tangled bundle in the middle of the case, and all you people with nice neat wires and expansive space inside your cases were making me jealous., well sort of

anyway, i got up this morning and decided, no longer will i have untidy wires and have a hard time adding/removing cards etc.

and so i did..

Never...they've always been so-so performers. The thing that makes them stand out now is they run really cool (a passive heatsink is enough to keep them cool...and I think I read about someone taking the heatsink off a running CPU and it kept going...didn't fry itself). Pretty amazing when you consider the earlier Cyrix CPU's ran like furnaces.
