I recently bought and installed a Logitech MX500 mouse and Elite wired keyboard w/wxp on a friends system and then ther troubles started. After speaking with Logitech and removing installing removing installing I have finally Lost my mouse all together. No mouse is recognized USB or PS2 any suggestion of how to find my wayward mouse?
Thanks |

Hi Carnigan,
What kind of computer is this? Home built or store bought? Was the PC powered up when you plugging and unplugging the PS/2mouse connector? That would fry something. Cricket

Home built PC ecs k7s5a mobo and a TBird 1333Mhz w/512 PC2100 DDR. Yes the system was off for first install. I reformatted the system reinstalled wxp and all was well until I installed logitechs mouseware 9.75 update (to fix the scrool wheel gaming issue) and it changed something as I get this error "bad_system_ config_info" nowI have to do a windows repair as xp won't start. So I would think it was/is Logitechs update. I will have to check and see if the one he downloaded was for an xp update. thanks |
