Joystick, mouse, and keyboard

My microsoft joystick started acting crazy, game play it looked start up and everything ran in circles, so I got a new logiteh joystick and its the same. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the software. Now my keyboard and mouse are freezing up. I've scanned for viruses and have defragged and scan disc, all are okay. Any ideas?

Welcome to the forums,
What is your operating system? Something to try would be going to device manager and seeing if there are any devices with problems. If there are problems this will cause what you are describing. you will need to update drivers for those devices.

My O/S is Win 98SE, I checked the device manager and ther are no conflicts. I've tried the MB gameport, the soundcard gameport, and both USB ports, all with the same results. Thanks Catfishjoe

Not too familiar with gameports and the controllers. When did this start to act up? Just after installing the joystick? If so could be the drivers for it.

I built this rig over a year ago and just now started having this problem. I think it might be the power supply, I started monitering it and am seeing some fluctuation. Its not much, a 10th back and forth. I'm not overclocking and overheating does not appear to be the problem. Thanks again Catfishjoe.

check cables and connections. check for dust in the box. About my best suggestions. If it has worked for that long and just now is acting up and you have done nothing diff. IE: downloaded games, drivers or any hardware additions then something could be starting to wear out/get weak.
