fqpissed Installing Print Server

I've connected a 3 port fast etherenet print server to my hub/router lan. I cannot get the setup to recognize a port or the server. W2K does not see the server.
What do I correct?

has the server got an ip addres from the router can you ping the server you may have to log on to the server via a web program like internet explorer and set it up from thair

Thanks for the reply.
I found out the cable was defective, and replacing fixed the problem.
