I'm not seeing double but my printer is printing one letter, slightly off-set, on top of another and producing a blurry mess.
At first I thought I'd gotten the wrong drivers but double checking proved that wasn't it. The printer was working properly till I used System Restore and had to reinstall the drivers. What have I done wrong and how do I correct it? The printer is a lexmark Z11 and the OS is XP Home SP1.

Hi pam123, aka ATI guru
![]() Try printing a self print test page. I believe that bypasses all the drivers and is hardwired in the printer. If it's also garbled, it's probably the printer. If not, I'd try uninstalling the drives / software, run RegClean or the like, reboot, and start over. HTH TwoRails |

Thanks guys,
Using the driver removal in Device Manager and following with RegClean did the job. It was then safe to reinstall. I made sure to use the Add New Printer Wizard, not sure if I did the first time. A major reminder about paying attention. |
