Swapping hard drive to amother computer

I have a computer at my store that runs DOS program for store management. It keeps telling me 'BOOT FAILURE" Could I resolve this by putting that hard drive in another computer? WOuld this work with a different BIOS on another computer, and would it cause problems? Thanks

It's hard to say but if they drive itself hasn't failed you probably can get the data off of it in another computer.

Depending on what hardware you have now I would probably try booting from a floppy and see if I could access the drive from the computer it is currently installed in.
