Buy Help - Got Gift C?

I need some advice on computer part purchase.

I'm getting a barebones system online for a nice price. I have about 300ish dollars in gift cards to Best Buy. To save some money I want to get the system and buy as many parts with my gift cards from Best Buy that I can and then order the remaining stuff from newegg or somewhere.

What do you suggest I buy locally, I suppose I'm asking what Best Buy and those places mark up the least.

As for a graphics card, I'll be happy with ti4800 and HD I'm looking for about 80GB. RAM, at least 256 DDR to start. (checked prices at BB today and a 256 MB stick is about 100 bucks)

I would like a CD and CD-R.

Sound card? Depends, the onboard sound will work for now I suppose unless I can get a decent one somewhere else.

Pretty much I can get the case/power/cpu/mobo for about $289.
With the 300 I'll get more but I don't want to spend anymore than another $250

Thanks!

Every Sunday in your local paper Best Buy will probably have an add. Check for items there that have rebates. I have found a decent amount of items for a great price with rebates. And go to the store to see if they have a book or phamplet (sp?) of products they have on rebates...usually look for Hard Drives, Sound Cards, Video Cards, and Optical Drives.

If you need anything like a monitor or set of speakers as these are usually big heavy boxes that include large shipping costs you could save by buying locally.

Best Buy carries all major brands of Monitors as well as Antec Cases; 'nuff said.
