I have a Plextor 12/10/32A CD-RW, and a Pioneer 16X DVD player.
I've installed several games on my newly built computer, usually using the CD-RW to do the installing. I find that when I put the game disk in the CD-RW, it will auto start just fine, a little slow sometimes before it gets started, not sure if that's normal,(any comments on that?), but is works and gets the game up and going. I figured I should be able to put the game CD in the DVD player and use it once in a while to play a game, but I find that it will not start up in the DVD slot. Or if I do get it to start, the game looks like it hasn't been installed, in other words, the menu on the game is not the same. Does this have something to do with the way the game was installed? What's the deal, how can I get the same game to play in the DVD drive? I do know the DVD works, I've played a DVD movie in it just fine, and I've played audio CD's in it. |

Most games rely on the fact that the CD is inth the same drive it was installed from, sometimes there is a .INI file which tels it what drive letter to look for the CD (i.e. Torment was like this and was the way to do a full install)
