Hey everybody... I'm in the process of putting together a new system, and I have a motherboard, memory, etc, but I need a processor. The celeron 533, 566 and 600 are all in my price range, but the 533 and 566 are both more expensive than the 600 (where I've been shopping, anyhow.) Is that because they are more desireable for overclocking, or is this an unusual case? What I need to know is whether it is worth my while to spend the extra twenty bucks for a slower processor. I do intend to overclock sometime in the not too distant future. Thanks in advance...

533's and 566's will be dropping availability soon and phased out, so their price is similar or sometimes higher that the 600's.

The celeron 600 with adequate cooling should overclock reasonably easily. I have a celeron 500, unfortunatly that is not so overclocker friendly. Wish I has waited until these lovely new celerons were out but with hind sight.......

The 600 will easily do 750, and with GOOD cooling (and maybe a little voltage boost) will do 900.
