Slow boot-up
Any tips on how to speed up the booting process.
Also for some reason my CD-ROM and my CDRW are recognised as E and F drives. Is this because they are master and slave on the secondary IDE channel? The D drive shows up in `my computer`. Is that the slave on the primary IDE? Even though there`s nothing connected to this. Got no sound ATM either. Any ideas? Thanks in advance This is my first build btw. Mackem

Hi Mackem
Here's an easy way to get started. Go to www.PCPitstop.com and run a test on your system, and use the results to see where to start. They will give tips and suggestions on what to do, and we'll help you, too. |

Does your BIOS hae quick boot enabled? And set any ide drives that do not actually have a drive connected to them to none in the bios ide configuration.
