cd rom jumper question
hi guys.
i have a question about the cd rom jumpers. i have one cd rom it is an asus 52x. i am pretty sure i am supposed to set it to "master." i was just wondering how to set it. there is a blue thing on the two "slave" pins. the "cable select" and the "master" pins are not covered. please tell me how to set it to master or if i should be setting it to something else. i am using a 40 wire ATA IDE cable. thanks |

The blue thing should be the jumper shunt (it just pulls off, right?). Remove them from the slave and CS pins and place one to jump the master pins. Leave the slave and CS pins bare.
