Question Lite-on

I looked on the newegg.com sight and saw a lite-on dvd drive I want but it says it works up to the windows 2000 OS. Does anybody know if this works with windows XP? The product number is XJ-HD166S.

I don't see a reason why it wouldn't work either...

I've personally installed a LiteOn burner with XP Pro and it works fine; go for it.

Shouldn't be a problem.

It's a JLMS DVD drive. There is an firmware upgrade for that DVD drive on their website. I got one a week ago and so far I've had only one problem. It wouldn't read my Intel Installation CD. Every movie I've tried has run fine.

I sell tons of LiteOn CDRW's and DVD's all running on XP machines... isn't an issue.
