Logitech mouse with strange problems
Hi everyone,
I am suffering with a recurrent problem with my Logitech mouse and I have no idea about what's happening, and I hope that someone can give me a little help. My system is a Athlon XP1600+ with Asus motherboard (ALI chipset) and 512 MB RAM, running under Windows XP Pro. The mouse I use is a regular OEM Logitech (the one with three buttons, wired, serial, and color logo on top) and it was auto-detected by Windows and instaled with Microsoft mouse driver. Well let's see the problems... As soon the system starts the mouse works fine and goes on like that for a while. But if I open several windows of Internet Explorer, there's no need to wait so long: the mouse stops working, but, just partially. The pointer keeps moving, and the RIGHT button still works, but the LEFT button don't works anymore. I realized that if I wait some time (about one-two minutes), the button becomes to life again. But is sucks... Other problem, with mouse too, happens when I am working with Adobe Premiere. After some time of use, suddenly, when I click onto an object or tool, is like the LEFT button of the mouse kept pressed, and no matter where I click, the mouse keeps acting over the object I clicked. But, if I swap to other application (ALT+TAB) and come back to Premiere (ALT+TAB once more) it becomes normal untill I click again. So, each click I made I need to ALT+TAB to release the button action. At this moment, the only solution I know to this problems is reboot the machine, and I ask: someone has seen this kind of problem before???? Thanks in advance. Yan |

First thing to try is a different mouse. Are you using PS/2 or USB?
