Is My Mic Done For?
I can't get my mic to work. It's a Plantronics .Audio 90. I tried using it in Half-life but it didn't work. I tried the voice tweak and nothing. I tried to use the recorder also. and in the recording control panel I can't unmute the mic.

It sounds like it went. It should automatically work when you plug it in, so it does sound likes it's no good anymore.
Not to fear, though computer mics are pretty cheap. |

You can get a cheap one for about 5 bucks.
 About the problem though, do you have another mic to try? Also, are you saying that the mic is muted all the time and you can't uncheck it? What O/S are you running?

Did you just try to reboot and then check it?

I rebooted, didn't work. I tried another mic which worked fine. they were supposed to be a good set, luckilly I have the warranty.
