Hi
I have an Epson 440 inkjet printer (parellel port)which has decided to stop working!The problem occured while I was printing from a spreadsheet whilst connected to the internet.An "Illegal operation" error message appeared and ever since that the printer won't turn on.Can someone help me with this please?,I urgently need to get my printer working again. If you can not even get power to the printer, then it is most likely a problem with the printer itself. Does it have an external ac/dc converter?? That would be first thing to check or else the internal power supply to the printer sounds like it went out on you during that last print job...thus the error message in Windows but that could be cause it was in the middle of a print job when the printer went out...

The logic board is shot. It's cheaper to replace the printer than get it repaired. Epson printers do a beautiful job - when they work. The problem is keeping them working, they are just not built to last.
