Moving OS to second HD

I am trying to move my OS (win98) to a new hard drive. I've installed a second hard drive that I want to use for the OS and leave the old HD in for files.

What I've done so far is clone my existing C:\ drive to a primary partition on the new HD with Norton Ghost. The OS files are all there, but when I set the BIOS to boot from the new HD, it tells me "OPERATING SYSTEM NOT FOUND". What do I need to do to correct this?

I had similiar probs with Ghost before. I ended up completely removing hd, installing new one, doing clean install of OS, then shut down, install original hd as slave. You will be able to copy old files off original hd to new hd. I think it has to do with cmos or bios not recognizing the loader on the new hard drive but am not completely sure of this. Hope this helps. I dont use ghost anymore.

Thanks for the repli, Sumdumgi

I fixed it by running Setup from the win98 CD & got everyting to work without loosing files or having to re-install anything.

situation resolved!
