CD Burner Skips a Track Sometimes

Hi, I have a CD Burner that every once in a while when I burn a music CD it skips a track. It usually just skips one track all the other songs are fine. The track is there but it just plays nothing. I have had this happen a few times and I am tired of it. When I burn the CD again it works perfectly fine. Does anyone have any idea what is wrong? Any help would be appreciated. The CD Burner is a Samsung and the speeds are 16x10x40.

every samsung CD drive i have owned has ended up in the bin due to one fault or another, i hate them, and so do a lot of other unsatisfied samsung customers i have talked to.. they dont seem to be too good at making drives in my experiences

It's usually a fault of the burning program, not the burner.
When it calculates the space needed to burn the MP3's, it sometimes does it wrong, allowing you to add just one more song, but somewhere a track is going to get truncated.
This is another reason I gave up on EZCD, and a few others.
Nero is the only way to go.

I agree with reboot, maybe its the program. I suggest nero but i prefer roxio easy cd creator.

Also try buring at a slower speed than your drive, try it at like 12x.

I was thinking that it might be the program also. I use ClickNBurn Pro. I bet that is the problem. I have already tried burning at a slower speed and it still happens. I am going to try out Nero. Thanks for all the help guys!
