Question Motherboard support for front jacks

This question mainly applies to jacks I see on the front of some cases for microphone and headphone/speakers. Many cases seem to have front USB jacks so I assume motherboard connections to those are pretty standard. Do most motherboards have connections to the front mike/speaker jacks? I'd hate to have them just sitting there and not work.

Thanks

Most new motherboards do have the option to use front jacks, as well as the back ones. Shipped from the factory though, they usually have jumpers on them to only use the rear ones. Read the manual.
