lamenated paper for optical mouse

would the lamenation on a piece of paper be too reflective for nat optical mouse. I am currently using one and the mouse is sometimes choppy, but i dont kn ow if its what is on the paper or the lamenation. Currently i am using just a bunch of letters and symbols, but i would make a new one with a picture of a painting.

thanks

Try the mouse on another surface and you will know for certain.

I have tried it on my wooden desk, which is polished and it doesn't work, and i have tried it on a leather chair and it works, my problem is i want a cheap solution to a mouse pad, the arm of the leather chair gives little room for movement of the mouse. Any ideas for something to set down to use the mouse on woud be appreciated.

by the way the reason i dont just use a un-lamenated piecve of paper is it gets wrinkly after a few days of use.the plastic helps it keeps its form.
