Has anyone used Asus cd-rw's? Wondering how they compare to the Lite-on's.

Never used one, but there are actually very few manufactures, with most drives just rebadged or built to spec by these few companies. Unless there is someone who actually knows which is which about all you can do is go to newegg and put in the same price as the Asus and compare it to the drives that come up in the search.

I've used a few of them and going by appearance, it's a Phillips. Have only used a handful of them, but as of this date, no returns on one.

Thanks for the replies guys. I have one coming and just wanted to make sure I didn't make a mistake going with it. Kinda figured with it being a Asus it would be ok.
