CD-RW stoped working

I have a Zip 650 CD-RW. I went to burn a data CD using Nero, it opend and asked for the CD but when i hit the button to close it nothing happened.

I pushed it closed and still nothing. I then restarted the PC with still no luck. I then made sure that no connections were loose and still it doesn't work. I don't even here the motor trying to open/close the try.

Any Ideas????
Thanks a ton!!!!

Have you tried the drive in another computer or another drive in your computer? The drive may have just died. How old is it?

The Burner it self is about 5 years old. The PC however is only a month old.

Thanks

Sounds like that CD-RW has died. Time to go shopping for another one.
