I lose the ECP Printer Port LPT1
Hi,
I lose the ECP Printer Port LPT1 when the computer is turned off. I’m trying to install a Canon BJC210 printer in my Compaq Deskpro 5133 Pentium 133 with Windows 98. The windows 98 disk installs the ECP Printer Port LPT1. I then install the Canon BJC210 printer. The printer works with all documents in MS Word and Excel. When I turn the computer off and then back on, the printer will not work. I then go to the Control panel, system, device manager, and in the in the Ports (COM & LPT) area the ECP Printer Port LPT1 has an exclamation surrounded by a yellow oval. When I delete this and repeat the installation as above the same thing happens Thanks in advance Bob |

Check the properties for the port, there might be a resource conflict.
