!tweaking!
I just built this (check sig) replaced the g4 with a 9700 pro
I installed xp home and i wanna tweak the bios and os to give more system performance for games and basic speed Anybody got any tips / or familiar with the bios on the a7n8x (non deluxe)??? any tips would help for the bios or OS |

Check RAM timings in BIOS.
Sometimes you can speed things up a bit, changing the CAS to a lower number. Especially check the FSB of the RAM, and make sure it's running at full 333mhz, not 266mhz (which is default on the board). |

I doubt youll get better performance with that rig. You could increase benchmarks etc. but as for noticable changes, you wont see much in games (if any). I would add more RAM (256 mb more) and you would see a difference. Add more RAM before tweaking if you want to see noticable improvements.
