Keyboard question
When I shut down my computer, the NumLock light on the keyboard stays on. If I press the NumLock key, the light goes out. Anyone know why this is happening? Is the computer not powering off properly, or is it something else?

Your system is an ATX, with a hotkey function on the motherboard to start the system.
This is normal. If you want the system to shutdown "cold", you'll have to use the power button on the back of the case. |

I believe there should also be an option in the BIOS that says something like Keyboard Power on, or something to that effect. If you disable that, the light should go out by itself when you shut down the computer.

Some motherboards have a jumper for the keyboard power on function.

With my PC, the red light of the optical mouse stays on after turning off the puter.

NK, mine does that too. It doesn't bug me anymore...
Also, my logitech keyboard almost prevented me from completing my first build! the F-Lock button has to enabled in order to use the basic functions of the F-keys. Well, before first POST i was supposed to hit F8 and it didn't work. |
