Boom Boot problem!!!

guys!!!

i just put together a pc with a p4b266 asus board with an 80 gig hd, dvd-rom, etc...

now...when i start up the computer everything starts ok and when i put the win me cd in it says " Disk Boot Failure. Please insert System Disk" I did the boot sequence order: 1) cd-rom 2) ide hd 3) floppy 4) other boot device.

i did a search and some people had a similar problem but i can't seem to fix this!! heeeelllppp meeeee!!!!!

Make sure the CD-ROM is jumpered properly for the type of IDE cable you're using.

Try another IDE cable.

Do you have more than one optical drive? Is the CD-ROM the secondary master?

Are you sure the CD-ROM drive works? Have you tried it in another computer?

Have you tried to you a floppy boot disk? Then install after it boots from the floppy.
