Opinions on EL light wire?

Okay sports fans, I need to know if any of you folks have any experience whatsoever with this new EL light wire. I am thinking of getting a string of it for my case, but am curious if my needs would be better served by buying just another cold cathode. Does anyone have any experience either way? Basically all I want is just a little more blue light in my case.

If you already have blue cathodes, go with another. If you have different types of lights, the colors can mix, or wash each other out. If you just have some LED fans, the EL cable may be enough. Cathodes are brighter, though.

Nah, the tape and wire are different.

Elwirecheap is a good place to get it.
