Two Video Controllers Detected????????

I have just built a new PC and the graphics card i have used is a Radeon 9000 128mb ddr agp. The problem is that windows detects two video controllers. When no drivers are installed they display in device manager as video controllers one with '(vga compatible)' after it. When i install the drivers from the cd both are setup. One appears to be AGP and one appears to be PCI. Does anyone know what the problem could be. I have one AGP graphics card installed, no onboard graphics and no PCI graphics card.

Thanks,

Richy

Please read the "Overview" section on you card from ATI's website :http://mirror.ati.com/products/pc/ra...pro/index.html
The card has Hydra-vision, which means it can support 2 monitors, there is nothing wrong and, from your description, everything is working as it should.
Enjoy the card.

So what's the difference between the two controllers. With one saying PCI and one saying AGP. Also the one that says PCI can be set to higher resolutions than the other?

Thanks for the info,

Richy

Some people like to use 2 monitors or more. Depends on what you do for work or what your purpose is. Resolution also depends on what monitor or monitors you are using.

The User's Guide is on your installation CD that came with the card. It'll give you a full explanation of what Hydravision is and how to set it up .
