I was just wondering which DVD-RW drive do you all think is the best? Ive seen toshiba running really cheap and some sony running expensive, then some pioneer in the middle. Anyone?

I think the best out there right now, in my opinion, is the Sony DRU500 series. They are able to burn both + and - formats so you never need to worry about being limited to a specific format.

I wouldn't get a DVD-RW drive, instead I'd get a good DVD+R/+RW drive or a dualformat writer (but they are more expensive). So no pioneer, toshiba or teac, but NEC, Philips, Ricoh, HP or Sony.
