DMA DVD problem

Hi,

I have Windows XP. DVD Drive is a LITE-On

I've had the drive installed for ages, installed XP a while back and it's been playing DVDs fine so far as I can remember

I tried to play a DVD tonight and it was choppy and the sound wasn't synched to the video. Thought DMA might have been turned off, correct...

It said in the drop down "PIO Mode Only" so I changed it to "DMA if Available", restarted computer but it although it now says "DMA if available" the channel is still in PIO Mode

Any ideas? I have looked in the BIOS after friend's advice, but there's nothing in there either

Thanks,

Resolved:

Uninstalled Secondary IDE channel then scanned for new hardware. All was set to DMA again and working

Thanks,

Jim
