CR-ROM plays DVD???

is it possible to play DVDs using the regular CD-ROMs???

No, it has to be a dvd/cdrom drive...because a dvd drive can read regular cdrom's though....

A DVD's laser is of a different wavelenght than a CD-ROM's. So: no.
