R=recordable, RW=rewritable
The + format offers Mount Rainier capability and lossless linking capability, and so offering the DVD+VR capability. Better for standalone video recorders, but also on the PC you can use the advantages. Also + has higher writing speeds, 4x DVD+R and 4x DVD+RW, comparing to 4x DVD-R and 2x DVD-RW. RJ
