How many partitions do you have?
If you boot from the XP CD you should be able to erase and create partitions no problem.

What options are you getting in the screen where it asks to select a partition to install Windows to?
How big is your HD? What is exactly the reason you wanna repartition it? |

When I press delete partition it says setup is unable to perform the requested operation on the selected partition. This partition contains temporary setup files that are required to complete installation.
