You could just crunch them together and wrap them with electrical tape, but that lookes tackey...
Or, if you really have some extra time on your hands, then you could carefully seperate the wires from eachother, then bundle them and wrap them in tape, split loom, or some other type of wire management device... HTH |

They are flat for a very good reason. The older ata speeds (33 and possibly 66) may be unaffected, but ata100/133 need cables to be as they were made. Some folks never have any probs rounding flats and some do. It's all about possible data corruption.

Here is a guide to follow: http://www.virtual-hideout.net/guides/rc/index.shtml but, I would recommend buying round cables, as they will be shielded against data corruption and look much nicer.

round cables are down to about 5 bucks, worth it, but my friend did the above, and it works fine

Be careful when doing the tutorial...I ruined two cables while doing it.
Won't try that again!

I like HAL9000's folded IDE cable trick. I've been folding my IDE cables instead of rounding them ever since I found out about it.

it 's cool finding out new ways of changing things but to actually redo cables especially as cheap as they are ,their must be some people that have to much time on their hands. I only wish i did !--------->around2it

The best cable management is a Lian Li pc70, giant spacious case, not jsut tall, goes back deep, very nice, kinda pricey

I've folded some on my friend's comp when I was fixing it up, he had made the mistake of rolling them and there was enough data corruption that we junked them and I just nabbed some of my extra flats and they worked, that tutorial worked pretty well also when I folded them for him.
